Era 100 SL is a useful recent addition for homes that want simple fixed speakers. Before choosing one, write down whether the room needs background music, a focused stereo listening position or rear channels for the television. What SL means here
Era 100 SL has no built-in voice control or microphones. Sonos lists it at £169 in the UK, with WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and USB-C line-in using a separately sold adapter. Trueplay requires a compatible iOS device. Check the official Era 100 SL specifications before choosing accessories.
One speaker or a stereo pair?
Use one for a secondary room where music accompanies another activity. Consider two matching Era 100 SL speakers when you sit down to listen and can give each side a sensible position.
